Who we are
Orber and Co. Ltd (“Orber & Co”, “we”) is a company registered in England & Wales, company number 13086066, with its registered office at 66 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NA. We are the data controller for personal data collected through orber.co. Contact us about anything in this notice at contact@orber.co.
What we collect
- Scorecard: your answers stay in your browser until you unlock your full breakdown. When you do, we receive your answers and scores, your work email and company, and, if you choose to give them, your name, role, company size, number of engineers, cloud spend band, main concern and the tools you use.
- Booking a call: the details you enter when you book through our HubSpot booking page.
- Email: anything you send us directly.
- Analytics: pages viewed, scorecard steps completed, where on a page people click and scroll, and how quickly pages load. This is recorded without cookies or persistent identifiers, so we can see where people drop out and what to improve. We never send your email or name to our analytics provider.
- Technical data: our hosting provider processes standard request data such as IP addresses to serve and secure the site.
Why we use it
We use scorecard data to show you your results and, if you give us your email, to prepare for any conversation about an audit. We may contact you once about your results. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell or share your data for anyone else's marketing.
Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: responding to a business enquiry you started, and understanding how our site is used. You can object at any time.
Who processes it for us
- Vercel Inc.: website hosting.
- Google (Google Workspace): email and calendar.
- HubSpot (EU data centre): our CRM and booking page, where scorecard submissions, bookings and enquiries are stored.
- PostHog (EU region): cookieless product analytics.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they rely on UK-approved safeguards such as adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Addendum.
How long we keep it
Scorecard submissions and enquiries are kept for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, then deleted. If you become a client, we keep records for as long as the engagement and our legal obligations require.
Cookies and local storage
We don't use tracking or advertising cookies. If you choose a light or dark theme, your browser remembers that choice locally. It never leaves your device.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct, delete or restrict your data, object to how we use it, or ask for a copy to take elsewhere. Email contact@orber.co and we'll respond within one month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
